Starship Troopers is great if you have any urgent daydreaming to catch up on. Graphically, Starship Troopers doesn't look too hot. The eponymous troopers look like identical, lumpy bits of clay that can walk and carry guns. The vast swarms of bugs in Starship Troopers cause not merely boredom, but major framerate drops.

Now I have a working game in XP (except for camera probs). For it's day this was a great game and still stands up pretty well now. The saving of soldiers lives so they get better at their job is a good one. The upgrading of armour reminded me of X-Com, no bad thing.

BUT, I bought this game for 40 when it came out, and I'm still on the mission called 'Classified' because as soon as I call down my Dropship, it changes my objective to 'Save trapped scientists', which I have already done, and when it does that, I can't enter my dropship. And the patch didn't fix that. So now I'm stuck with a $40 frisby, and that is what took away from the game in my opinion.
